Founded in 2008, Vollmer Paving has grown from a small tar and chip operation into North Central Pennsylvania's premier full-service road construction and snow & ice management contractor.

Glenn Vollmer started the company with a simple operation — renting garage space and working with just one part-time employee.

In 2009, Glenn expanded the company into asphalt paving. As the business continued to grow, so did its capabilities, equipment, and workforce. In 2012, Vollmer Paving moved to its current location, providing the space and resources necessary to continue expanding the operation.

Over the years, the company has evolved into a full-service contractor capable of taking on projects from start to finish. Today, Vollmer Paving provides asphalt paving, site development, stormwater management, milling, tar and chip, aggregate services, road construction, and commercial snow and ice management. The company also serves as a general contractor and coordinates subcontractors when a project requires a broader range of expertise.

Vollmer Paving serves a diverse range of clients, including commercial and industrial businesses, government and municipal organizations, oil and gas companies, educational institutions, and state and public infrastructure projects.
