Vollmer Tar & Chip, Inc. began....
Founded in 2008, Vollmer Tar and Chip, Inc. began by offering only tar and chip (or chip sealing) services using a manual distributor truck and single-axle dump truck with a spreader box and residential snow plow services during winter months.
By 2009, Vollmer Tar and Chip, Inc. began to offer asphalt paving services and hiring full-time employees. We are proud to say our first hire is still with us today!
Since 2009 the business has continuously grown in fleet and employees. A great love for construction, emphasis on continuing education, and hard work remain a constant at Vollmer Tar and Chip, Inc. Everything we learn goes into improving our processes and equipment to provide a high-quality product. We treat our customers like our family and friends, making service and satisfying end results our top priority!
QUALIFICATIONS
Our Founder has over 16 years in road construction and 11 years in excavation industries. Vollmer Tar and Chip, Inc. believes that experience and knowledge are our greatest assets. Glenn Vollmer has been nationally recognized and awarded for quality, dedication, and advancements to the construction industry in several national roadway and equipment magazines and blogs. We are passionate about construction and strive to make a name that we, our families, friends, employees, and community can be proud to work with.
Our Employees are highly trained and experienced. We strive to stay current with the latest technology and paving practices. Employees have attended both classroom and hands-on training courses and seminars with Volvo Road Institute, tradeshows and equipment operations from construction manufacturers.
We believe in promoting a career in construction trades and are happy to partner with local schools to showcase life-long, satisfying career pathways.
